Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (42.5 hours per week)
- Saturday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (half day)
Starting Salary: £25,282.40 per annum
Additional Pay: Monthly performance-related bonus
Reporting to: Branch Manager
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Trade Counter Assistant/Driver to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude. You will need to:
- Have at least 1 year of customer service experience (preferred)
- Hold a clean, full UK driving licence (essential)
- Be comfortable driving a 3.5t Mercedes Sprinter van for deliveries
- Be familiar with working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Have a basic understanding of stock management and warehouse duties
- Be physically capable of handling materials and goods
- Be a team player with a positive attitude toward customer service and teamwork
Key Responsibilities:
As a Trade Counter Assistant/Driver, you will be responsible for a mix of warehouse, driving, and customer service tasks. Your core duties will include:

Customer Service:

Engaging with customers face-to-face at the trade counter, providing product advice, and handling transactions

Ensuring all customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately

Warehouse Operations:

Performing stock checks and managing stock levels

Picking and preparing orders for dispatch, ensuring correct packaging and labeling

Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse

Delivery Duties:

Driving a 3.5t Mercedes Sprinter van to deliver orders to customers across the local area

Ensuring timely and safe delivery of products

Communicating with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays
