About the Role:
Spencer Clarke Group is delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Morecambe. This role is a temporary maternity cover position starting in September, offering a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring educator to make a meaningful impact on students' learning journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
- Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities and events.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
