Our client based in Basingstoke is looking to recruit a QA and Test Technical Operator / Technician
to work successfully within a team to ensure that all products received by the customer are fully tested and built to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all products are tested & programmed in accordance with the work instruction and customer's specifications.
- Ensure all products are Inspected to IPC class 2 /3 in accordance with the work instruction and customer's specifications.
- Involvement in the QA and Testing of NPI's with guidance from the Quality Technician and Manufacturing Engineers.
- Take ownership and work independently on repeat products and follow works instructions & BOM.
- Take ownership of the test equipment in the department and carry out PPM where needed.
- Understand and comply to IPC-A-610 IPC-A-620.
- Rework SMT and TH defects to IPC 7711 and J standards when required.
- Understand circuit diagrams and be able to diagnose faults to component level when required.
- Assist the Quality Technician with equipment calibration requirements
- Assist with RMA investigations investigating route cause.
- Be responsible for the quality of products you release to our customers, with an aim for zero RMAs.
Professional Skills:
- Experience of volume electronics manufacturing using world class philosophies, techniques and principles
- Degree or equivalent in related subject
- Experience of implementing lean techniques
