Full-Time Office-Based Role
We are currently recruiting for a Semi Senior Accountant on behalf of our client, a well-established practice based in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and personable individual, either qualified or part-qualified, to join a dynamic team that prides itself on offering exceptional service to a diverse portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing accounting records for our client's varied portfolio of businesses
- Producing Year End Accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders, and Partnerships
- Preparing Management Accounts for multiple clients
- Preparing and submitting VAT Returns
- Providing bookkeeping services for a range of clients using Xero and Hubdoc
- Assisting with personal tax returns
- Engaging in regular client communication to maintain strong relationships
What We're Looking For:
- AAT qualified or studying AAT Level 4 (or equivalent), with ambitions to complete an Accountancy Qualification
- At least 12 months of UK-based accountancy practice experience
- Experience with online accounting software, especially Xero (preferred)
- Strong bookkeeping experience for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A proactive, flexible attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
