SALARY: £24,294 - £25,979 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Oakham, Rutland, East Midlands (LE15) - with hybrid working options

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 37 hours per week - flexible and agile working

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Customer Service Advisorwith previous experience in a similar Customer Support / Customer Contact role, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who is able to act with diplomacy and tact.

As the Customer Service Advisor you will join the organisation's fantastic Customer Services Team with enthusiasm and confidence, helping to make a positive difference to how they deliver effective customer services to the local community.

Working as a Customer Service Advisor you will help provide a front line 'one stop shop' service to members of the public telephoning, visiting and emailing the organisation, with the overall purpose of resolving a large proportion of appropriate customer enquiries.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities asaCustomer Service Advisorwill include:

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers
  • Take responsibility for resolving customer enquiries in professional efficient and sensitive manner
  • Record and maintain customer contact information accurately and in line with the available technology
  • Access and retrieve information from internal databases, back-end systems and the internet as appropriate, in order to resolve customer enquiries

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a similar Customer Service Advisor role delivering a "one-stop" service
  • Confident, and adaptable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to act with diplomacy and tact at all levels and be discreet with confidential information
  • Able to deal with challenging situations whilst remaining calm and professional
  • Solution focused, able to resolve queries and deliver positive outcomes for customers
  • Experience in using ICT systems to retrieve information
  • Ability to enter information quickly and accurately
  • Experience of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of latest guidance regarding data protection and freedom of information
  • GCSE level: English and Maths grade A - C or equivalent
