Accounts Assistant // North Manchester M24 // 12m FTC // £30k

Are you available to commence a fixed-term contract within a thriving business with excellent benefits, starting early-mid July?

Medlock Partners is currently working with a well-established family owned Manufacturing and retail business in North Manchester to source an Accounts Assistant with the experience to hit the ground running.

You'll join a welcoming and supportive team in this reputable company and of course, training will be provided in terms of specific company processes and systems. However, solid experience in transactional finance is essential - including Sales Ledger, Purchase ledger and Bank reconciliations.

Duties will include:

  • Sales ledger - this is the main focus - exporting order data, posting cash and allocating payments, investigating unallocated cash, reconciliations
  • Purchase Ledger - lesser amount of Purchase ledger - processing service invoices, remittances, statement reconciliations, up to and including payment runs
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Resolving customer or supplier queries

Experience:

  • Previous exposure to Sales and Purchase Ledger and bank reconciliations
  • Experience in a stock related business - B2B and Ecommerce combination is especially welcomed
  • Sound SAGE and excel skills
  • Able to manage varied workload and multiple deadlines
  • Good customer service skills for query resolution
  • Adaptable team player
