Salary: Up to £75,000
Contract Type: 12-month fixed term

Role Overview:

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Business Analyst to join their team. In this key role, you will collaborate closely with the Interim COO and Change Manager to establish a change management framework, incorporating business analysis and project management practices that drive efficiency and support growth objectives. You will be instrumental in evaluating current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and documenting requirements to support various projects across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and uphold Business Analysis practices within the organisation.
  • Partner with the Change Manager to develop a strong change management function.
  • Assist in the implementation of a formal project management methodology.
  • Define project requirements, design effective solutions, and document them comprehensively.
  • Create and maintain detailed process maps and related documentation.
  • Review and analyse existing processes to uncover opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage business analysis documentation and templates, ensuring they are current and version controlled.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation to support the development of project business cases.
  • Play an active role in project teams, contributing to successful project outcomes.
  • Support testing processes and provide training to staff as required.
  • Undertake any additional duties as directed by the Change Manager or Interim COO to support organisational growth.

Person Specification:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and report writing abilities.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and capable of managing a high personal workload with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, remotely, and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on designing practical solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • A minimum of five years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within a Defined Benefit pensions, investments, or financial services environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of DB pensions, investments, or financial services.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to lead workshops and gather requirements effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in business case development and documentation.
  • Experience in conducting process reviews and realising benefits.

Desirable:

  • A recognised Business Analysis qualification.
  • Experience in scheme and investment transition projects.
  • Experience working on data insights and analytics initiatives.
