Early Intervention Team Leader required
Working alongside strategic leads, you will be responsible for planning and leading the delivery of learning to challenging young people with behavioural, social and emotional difficulties who need support with behaviour regulation. This is a unique opportunity to be innovative in creating early intervention pathways that meets the needs of children and young people in Oxfordshire. You will work in partnership with the local authority, schools and community organisations to provide an opportunity for young people to enhance their access to learning and life chances. The work will involve a mixture of group teaching, casework and transition support. Experience of working with children/young people and parents/carers and of planning and delivering learning is essential, as is the ability to prioritise and work to agreed targets. You will also have a proven track record of engaging and supporting children and young people.
Job Purpose:
- To play a full role in implementing the schools agreed learning and behaviour policies, taking responsibility for student's learning and behaviour both in and outside of the classroom
- To be a model of excellent practice, maintaining a clear focus on outstanding delivery to learners ensuring a centre of best practice and excellence
Specific duties and responsibilities:
- To take responsibility for planning and implementing appropriate programmes for the school's early intervention pathway, within the framework of national and school policies, to groups of learners aged 11-16
- Be aware of safeguarding concerns and report concerns to the DSL
- Participate in regular staff-meetings and professional development sessions as required
- To oversee the transition of students
- To attend or lead team meetings, professional meetings, home visits and training as required.
Grade 11 Pt 37-40 £39,186 - £42,403 pro rata (Actual £34,242 - £37,053)
37 Hours per week, Term Time Only, plus 5 days per annum
