Pre-Construction Manager

Your new company is a large Tier 1 multidisciplinary main contractor with a base in Hampshire that is working within the public realm to deliver large scale regeneration projects on blue light public assets, education, healthcare and residential social housing. They focus on delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions.

Your new role is as a Pre-Construction Manager to join their to join the pre-contract team covering the South of the UK. This is a permanent full-time role supporting the team in pre-construction services. In your day-to-day role, you will be tasked with managing and coordinating the Pre-Construction activities. This includes both traditional and design and build projects that have been awarded. You will be responsible for managing the Pre-Construction process from the tender issue through to the handover to the operational team. Working collaboratively with the members of the Pre-Construction team is a key part of your role. This team includes governance, commercial, estimating, planning, and design management. Your goal is to ensure that milestones are identified, monitored, and achieved in order to successfully complete the Pre-Construction process. Additionally, you will attend site visits to view the project during the pre-construction stage. Engaging with designers and supply chain partners as necessary is crucial to inform the detailed design and pricing process. Your active participation in these visits will provide valuable insights and contribute to the overall success of the project. Current schemes of work include facade, cladding, fit-out and refurbishment of residential properties and public buildings.

What you'll need to succeed is an HNC/HND/Degree in a construction or engineering subject and/or Membership of a relevant body such as CIOB, APM, CIAT, RICS. Previous Pre-Construction experience on projects up to £10m is essential, particularly if you have strong experience of leading multidisciplinary teams. We value a proven record of successful multi-project delivery through the management of a skilled team of people. Possession of a CSCS Card and a Full UK Driving Licence is also required for this role. You will need to pass a Basic DBS Criminal Record Check, have the right to work in the UK and substantial UK experience.
