Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for economic and financial analysis within Deutsche Bank Group and covers asset allocation and all major industry sectors. We analyse relevant trends for the bank in financial markets, the economy and society, highlight risks and opportunities and act as consultant for the bank, its clients and stakeholders. Deutsche Bank Research delivers high-quality, independent analysis and actively promotes public debate on economic, fiscal, labour market and social policy issues.

The individual will sit with the Thematic and Corporate Bank Research team. You will be providing insights to asset managers and corporates on thematic trends that affect the business world. You will be supporting research and coverage on financial technology, digital assets and global macro economics ('The House View') and will be contributing to models and written reports.

Your key responsibilities

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis on economies, under the supervision of the Managing Director - Thematic Research
  • Contribute to written publications and presentations on digital assets, fintech, and global macroeconomics
  • Perform econometric modelling and statistical analysis, applying sound economic judgment
  • Maintain and enhance country/regional databases with rigorous attention to detail
  • Monitor data releases and market-relevant developments globally
  • Provide support for internal and external client requests

Your skills and experience

  • Consulting experience (MBB or similar), with ideally some exposure to technology, banking, or economics projects
  • Master's degree at a top-tier university in economics, finance, business, or a related field, or similar experience and proof of excellent knowledge of economics and quantitative concepts
  • Native fluency in English and excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and present ideas effectively
  • Excellent analytical skills including data analysis, Excel modelling, and proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Eviews, Bloomberg)
  • Capacity and ambition to work autonomously and proactively explore new topics and research ideas
