Description
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for various product categories
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs
- Ensure compliance with company's procurement policies and procedures
- Monitor and report on category performance metrics
- Provide insight on market trends and supplier capabilities
- Develop team members through coaching and mentoring
Profile
A successful Category Manager should have:
- A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proven experience in a procurement role within the FMCG industry
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and develop a team
