Site Engineer needed for scheme in central Kent!! Are you looking for a new role with a long duration and competitive daily rate?

  • Position: Site Engineer (SMSTS and First Aid qualified)
  • Location: Rainham/Gillingham, Kent
  • Start date: July 2024
  • Duration: 60 weeks
  • Pay rate: £270 - £320 (dependent upon experience)

The company:

A privately owned multi-disciplinary main contractor that specialism in student accommodation, hotels, leisure, retail, distribution, highways and bridges.

The role:

As a member of the Engineering team, you as the Site Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Setting out earthworks, drainage, foundations, services, holding down bolts, structures, road profiles, kerbs and slabs.
  • Working as part of the management team and providing supervision for subcontractors.
  • Carrying out surveys and producing As-builts using AutoCAD.
  • Take offs and ordering materials.
  • QA and QC

About you and to be successful in this role:

  • Previous experience in a similar or the same role.
  • Be conversant with a variety of setting out instruments.
  • Be registered for CIS payments.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Be very proactive on site and be a team player.
  • Educated to at least an HNC standard
  • An SMSTS or SSSTS and First Aid is essential when applying for this position.
  • Be able to actively manage and supervise individuals and subcontractors.
