Role: Java Developer Salary: Up to £60'000 Location: Oxfordshire HQ - Hybrid Model (2 days p/w)

Experience Required:
- A good computer software degree plus at least 3 years software development experience in a commercial environment.
- Java (version 17 preferred but no older than version 8) and JEE
- SQL
- XML, XSLT, CSS (SASS), JavaScript, HTML
- Experience with web application servers, WildFly/JBoss preferred
- ORM technologies such as JPA / Hibernate
- Good understanding of UI and UX best practices
- Sound understanding of agile theory and practice
- Excellent organisation and communication skills - written, oral, and interpersonal
- Ability to work well in a team environment, with a focus on team objectives & deliverables
- Experience with one or more of MySQL, Oracle or MS SQLServer
Desirable skills:
- JSF
- Bootstrap, D3.js, TypeScript
- Build systems (Ant, Ivy, Maven etc)
- Jenkins CI system
- TestNG / JUnit / Mockito
Responsibilities:
- Implement - design, code, and test - enhancements or bug fixes as required following best practice software development methods.
- Work with Product Quality Control to ensure that delivered solutions are robust and reliable, and have a high degree of usability
- Support the production of product documentation to satisfy internal and customer requirements.
- Become knowledgeable in our software products and risk management to understand the usage and relevance of any developed work.
