This is a contract Manufacturing Engineer position, based in Woking.
6 months, inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for updating process documentation and Quality Control Plans
- Implement and control Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Forecasting and reporting.
- Ensuring plant efficiency and targets are achieved.
- Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure production issues are resolved.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, 4M's, PDCA
- Implement and expand concepts such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, etc., to reduce manufacturing cost and increase process quality and throughout.
- Provide leadership to cross-functional teams and manufacturing engineers regarding manufacturing process and capability.
Experience:
- A degree in mechanical/automotive engineering or similar (2:1 or above) or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Implementation of safe working practices
- Proficiency with CATIA, 3D experience is desired, but not required.
This role is low volume, high-value performance vehicle production and the right candidate will have a good understanding of this market.
Occasional travel is required, both to to off-site development facilities, within the UK and throughout Europe, therefore a flexible approach to travel is required.
This role is full-time on-site.
