Our Client is a pioneering national charity that cares for men, women and young people in custody, those with criminal convictions in the community and their children, family members and carers.

**Job Description

Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Mentoring Manager to lead our new community mentoring service in London. This role is funded by the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) to support male service users on community sentences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing team of mentors, providing coaching, support, and performance management.
  • Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of high-quality mentoring services, ensuring alignment with service user needs and organizational goals.
  • Case Management: Maintain a small caseload to provide direct support to service users and demonstrate best practice.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and support volunteer mentors, building a strong volunteer program.
  • Performance Management: Collect, analyze, and report on performance data to measure impact and inform service improvement.
  • Partnership Building: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with MOPAC, probation services, and other relevant agencies.
  • Risk Management: Implement robust risk management procedures to safeguard service users and staff.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the service.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in managing mentoring or similar programs within the criminal justice sector.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with criminal convictions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with service users from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build effective partnerships.
  • Experience in data analysis and performance management.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others.
