My client is a global research-based biopharmaceutical company.
They are seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison to join them initially on a 12 month contract.
Ideally experience with HIV or infectious diseases.
Role
- Responds to clinical inquiries regarding marketed or developmental products
- Develops and presents complex scientific and clinical data for these products
- Identifies and develops regional and national opinion leaders to support products and trains approved speakers through personal contacts and on-site visits
- Establishes strong relationships with opinion leaders, clinical investigators and healthcare professionals in academic and non- academic settings
- Supports sales force with training at national and regional levels
- Works on Phase IV programme that includes collaboration with both investigators and internal personnel
- Selects sites for both Phase IV and other clinical trials
- Anticipates complex obstacles and difficulties that may arise in the field and resolves them in a collaborative manner
- Works collaboratively with personnel in Sales, Marketing, Clinical Research, market access and public affairs
- Utilises scientific resources to deliver impactful presentations in a variety of different settings
- Travels to appointments, meetings and conferences on a frequent and regular basis, occasionally with short notice
Education and Experience
- Advanced degree (e.g. Medical doctor, PharmD, PhD,) required or may have a degree in pharmacy/nursing/life sciences with varying levels of clinical and/or industry experience
- Clinical practice experience and NHS landscape awareness within a relevant therapeutic area of interest are desirable
