SR2 are supporting a global banking client who have recently announced a whopping multi-billion pound investment into their data, people and security. £50 million going into a big tech transformation, and we are helping them to grow the teams!
Awesome opportunity for experienced software engineers in the South West, to be a part of a huge digital transformation using backend Java technologies, Microservices and Cloud architecture.
This is a huge opportunity as we start to build out multiple new teams across Bristol. Lots of greenfield project, work to reduce the businesses carbon footprint and transform products and services from dates, legacy technology to modern tech.
At prrsent, we are looking to hire mid-level up to experienced seniors with a passion for all things software development and people who want to work in a highly collaborative teams where nothing is off limits and ideas can be brought to the table and put into practice!
As a software engineer in one of their teams, you can expect nothing less than high quality code and engineering practices that are followed in accordance with engineering transformation strategy.
Whilst they may be a well known large banking name, they want to continue to innovate and keep up with the start-ups and tech businesses in Bristol. Encouraging a culture of learning and continuous improvement, using the best technologies on the market to stay ahead of competitors.
Experience we're looking for...
- Strong backend development skills in Java 8+, Spring boot
- Development of Restful API.
- Build Tools & DevOps principles: GIT, Maven, Jenkins CI/CD, Nexus, SonarQube.
- SQL/NoSQL database, Basic Unix/Linux Skills, TDD using JUNIT.
It would be great if you also had...
- Experience of building microservice architecture and event driven systems.
- Test automation experience: BDD, mocking, contract testing, Sast.
- Exposure to web technologies, data tooling & infrastructure / networking.
- Understanding of AFP, PDF and HTML structure.
- Banking & Finance experience.
