Job Opportunity: One-on-One Teaching Assistant within a Year 3 class

Location: Shepherds Bush

School: "Outstanding" Two Form Entry Primary School

About Us: We are seeking a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work one-on-one with a child in Year 3. The child has had an ECHP for the past three years for ASD and is non-verbal. The ideal candidate will have worked with SEND children previously, ideally with early years or non-verbal children.

As an Outstanding school, our children have excellent opportunities to participate in Spanish, French, Music, Dance, Drama, Sports, Gardening and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths). We enrich the curriculum with experience days, visits, workshops and residentials to fully immerse children in our curriculum offer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the class teacher in implementing engaging and effective learning activities for the child you will be working with.
  • Assist with the implementation of individualised education plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Support the child in their social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create a dynamic and nurturing learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with young children, preferably with non-verbal or SEND children.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to the well-being and development of young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Understanding of child development and early years education.
