About us

We compete at the highest levels of football on a global stage whilst keeping our Sussex community spirit. Our vision is to be a top ten Premier League club and a top four Women's Super League club. A commitment to high performance, high professional standards and making a difference is at the heart of everything we do.

Ensure our pitch is matchday ready for the 24/25 season!

Excitement, adrenaline and 32,000 roaring fans and a perfectly manicured turf; this is what it will feel like to work at the Albion!

We are hiring for a pool of candidates to come and support our grounds team on a matchday. This is a great hands-on opportunity based at our stadium in Brighton, to assist in maintaining our state-of-the-art football pitch. You will operate machinery and equipment associated with grounds maintenance and ensure all tasks are carried out in line with operating procedures.

About you

Ideally you will have or are working towards a qualification in sports turf management, certified in driving agricultural vehicles and hold your PA1, PA6 and PA2A certificates in pesticide usage, however this is not essential. In this role you will need to be collaborative and team oriented, so we are looking for someone who has experience of working in a large team of staff in a similar environment.

Our values play a pivotal role in our success

Our values are not just a list of words we expect our colleagues to learn, but a set of filters through which we deliver to each other, our fans, our partners and our sponsors. As a team we live and breathe these values.

Our values are:

  • Treat People Well
  • Exceed Expectations
  • Aim High. Never Give Up
  • Act with Integrity
  • Make it Special
  • How we say thank you

In return for your hard work and commitment to us, some of the additional benefits you will receive will include, but not limited to:

  • Free breakfast and lunch at both sites
  • 23 days holiday rising with length of service (pro rata for part time staff)
  • Rewards platform, which includes access to 900+ retailers, a wellbeing centre and much more!
  • Priority access to match tickets and access to free WSL tickets for 23/24 season
  • In-house training programme and CPD opportunities
  • Discounts and benefits from partners and local businesses

Our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace that reflects the diversity of our society and the world around us. Our core values mean that we have a strong ethical culture which allows us to meet the needs of our diverse audience, both on and off the pitch. We encourage applications from individuals regardless of their age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnership. If you require any reasonable adjustments to support your application, do not hesitate to get in touch with our People and Culture team.

Safeguarding is part of everything we do

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk. We expect all colleagues and volunteers to share this commitment.
