Client Details

Our client is a large, well-established organisation with a continued international growth strategy.

Description

  • Support the annual audit and production of the statutory accounts, including the preparation of various supporting schedules
  • Production of tax schedules and liaising with the Group's tax advisors
  • Preparation of the Group's periodic consolidated income statement, balance sheet and cashflow for entry into the Management Accounts Pack for Board of Directors in accordance with the timetable approved by the FD
  • Periodic accounting for specified overheads and business partnering;
  • Prepare and submit the Group's VAT returns
  • Responsibility for the accounting of pub disposals including liaising with our solicitors and disposals teams
  • Monthly (and ad-hoc) Intercompany reconciliations
  • Monthly finance costs amortisation and depreciation calculations;
  • Accounting for financial instruments
  • Preparation of other statutory reporting
  • Preparation of the Quarterly Bad Debt review
  • Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by the Senior Finance Team

Profile

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA
  • Minimum of 3 A levels of grade B or above and an upper second-class degree or higher
  • An understanding of the complexities involved in Auditing and reporting financial results of Group and subsidiary undertakings (including group consolidation) and the valuation of fixed assets would be beneficial
  • Practical experience of working within an accounts function in a SME sized commercial organisation
  • Able to demonstrate an ethic of delivering high performance through hard work, commitment and teamwork
  • You will thrive under the pressure of change and continuous business growth and development
  • A team player with effective communication skills at all levels and an ability to establish strong working relationships throughout the business
  • An eye for detail and takes pride in delivering management and statutory information which is consistently produced in a timely, accurate and professional manner
