Tradewind Recruitment are proudly working alongside amazing special needs school near Kirkham, on the outskirts of Preston, who are looking for a special needs teacher to work with them on a full time, ongoing long term basis commencing as soon as possible after the October half term.
The role will involve teaching a class of 12 pupils with a range of additional needs, including varying levels of ASC, physical disabilities, learning difficulties and medical requirements. The class are aged at KS3, however the level pupils are working at is predominantly Key Stage 1.
Therefore, the school are keen to recruit someone who has experience of working within a special needs setting, who can differentiate for pupils working way below age related expectations. Sound knowledge of the primary National Curriculum is therefore essential.
The school are able to offer fantastic facilities and excellent levels of learning support within the classroom, and their most recent Ofsted grading was 'Outstanding'.
The school is very accessible from West Preston or via the M55 and has parking on-site.
The daily pay ranges from £162.35 to £223.61+ per day, depending on experience.
In order to undertake this role SEN Teacher, you will need to:
- Hold QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Have knowledge and experience of working in a specialist SEN setting
- Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure - or hold a DBS currently subscribed to DBS Update Service.
- Provide overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and undergo professional reference checks.
- Ensure your CV covers all employment and education since leaving secondary school.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
