Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to support a long-standing client in the Gillingham area. This is a temporary role initially for 2 months, with a high likelihood of extension. The main focus will be to assist with the transition to a paperless system by scanning invoices and supporting the finance team with ad hoc duties during a busy summer period. Day-to-day of the role:
- Scanning invoices and uploading them into the organisation's system, specifically using Xero, as part of the transition to a paperless office.
- Assisting with the backlog of financial documentation to ensure up-to-date record keeping.
- Supporting the finance team with various ad hoc duties, especially during periods of high annual leave.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operation within the finance department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in an accounts support role is advantageous.
- Proficiency with financial software, specifically Xero.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be immediately available to start next week.
