We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production/Process Engineer to join our team and drive our 5S and Lean initiatives.
Job Summary:
The Production/Process Engineer will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production, and implementing Lean and 5S methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Process Improvement:

Analyse current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.

Develop and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

Monitor process performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal operation.

Lean Implementation:

Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives, including value stream mapping, Kaizen events, and standard work.

Train and mentor staff on Lean principles and techniques.

Develop and maintain metrics to track the success of Lean initiatives.

5S Management:

Implement and sustain 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain) across the production floor.

Conduct regular 5S audits and provide feedback to ensure adherence to standards.

Promote a culture of cleanliness, organization, and continuous improvement.

Project Management:

Lead cross-functional teams on process improvement projects.

Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.

Communicate project status, challenges, and results to stakeholders.

Quality Assurance:

Work closely with the Quality department to ensure that production processes meet quality standards.

Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Technical Support:

Provide technical support to production staff to resolve process-related issues.

Develop and update work instructions, process documentation, and training materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
- Proven experience with Lean manufacturing principles and 5S implementation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six Sigma certification.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning software.
