The starting salary for this role is £29,697 per annum, working 36 hours per week.

This innovative and exciting multi-disciplinary service is provided by Health, Social Care and Education professionals to young people aged 11-18 old years with mental health, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, living in Surrey. We are a Centre of Clinical Excellence and recently awarded Outstanding by Ofsted.

Do you have experience or are seeking experience of working with adolescents with a range of complex needs?

We are seeking an Activity Worker with the ability to think creatively when engaging and working with young people with complex mental health and social care needs. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated staff member with experience in working with young people with complex needs and support their colleagues in both Epsom and Guildford. There will be development opportunities in Children and Young People Services.

The Activity Worker role is an integral part of planning and delivering therapeutic support and education to young people receiving a service from HOPE, either through the Day Programme or Outreach. Activity Workers are actively involved in groups and individual programmes for young people, and participate in the delivery of multi-agency programmes. The focus of the role is to help young people develop problem solving, coping, learning and social interaction skills, promoting educational attainment and to work directly with young people and their families or carers to promote and safeguard their welfare within an integrated service. You will work closely with other members of the team and tailor activities and interventions to help meet young people's agreed therapeutic and educational goals.

The duties cover both elements of the Service, i.e. the Day Programme and Community Work. You will work fully in the multi-disciplinary team and with care co-ordinators in the development, implementation and evaluation of person-centred plans, including educational and therapeutic needs. You will contribute to the effective functioning of the Team and work in partnership with colleagues from all agencies.

The ability to travel around the county is essential so you will need to be able to have access to a car and able to drive.
