My client is looking for an experienced service and breakdown heating engineer, able to diagnose faults, complete CP12s (Gas Safety Certificates), perform annual services, and make repairs.
Position Includes:
- Salary:
£38,000 - £45,000 basic, plus optional overtime, weekends, and callouts
- Type:
Full-time, permanent position with stable salary and optional overtime to increase earnings
- Holidays:
28 days paid holiday initially, increasing by one day per year, up to 33 days per annum
- Overtime:
Flexible, optional overtime and weekend work; all overtime and out-of-hours callouts are paid at time and a half

Key Responsibilities:
- Service and repair conventional heating systems, including gas, oil, LPG combi boilers, and unvented/vented water/heating systems
- Handle breakdown calls and emergencies
- Complete CP12s and other relevant documentation
- Expand into air & ground source heat pumps and solar thermal systems with provided training
Customer Base:
My client's customers consist of local, private homes, including bespoke and high-quality renovations and period properties. No social housing is involved, and all work is within a reasonable area.
Training and Progression:
- On-the-job training for renewable technologies and oil/LPG fuels
- Opportunities to progress into commercial work and renewable technologies
Required Experience:
- Qualifications:
CENWAT1 compulsory (or CEN1 & WAT1 qualifications together)
- Experience:
More than 3 years of total experience, particularly in installing combi boilers and S & Y Plan systems
Opportunities for Learning:
- Training provided for LPG & oil if needed
- Opportunities to progress into commercial work
- Training on heat pumps and renewables
