Teaching Assistant – SEMH School – Dudley

Do you have experience supporting young people who have struggled to engage with education, or who have SEMH Needs? Are you looking for a long-term opportunity to make a lasting impact and help student understand the value of education. This excellent SEMH school require a Teaching Assistant or Behaviour Mentor who has previously worked with reluctant learners.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be joining an experienced and friendly team of teachers, teaching assistants and mentors who are determined to make a difference. The school has good facilities, and student have access to a range of resources. This role requires an individual who has worked with SEMH or challenging behaviours, ideally in a school setting.

Job Role:

  • Supporting students in their learning.
  • Managing behaviours, helping students stay on task.
  • Delivering small group interventions for students.
  • Taking part in whole school activities such as trips, enrichment days and more.
  • Working with children with SEMH needs, understanding these needs and providing appropriate support ion lessons.
  • Working with the class teacher to provide an outstanding education.
  • Making learning fun and engaging for students!
  • Building positive professional relationships with young people. Making them feel nurtured and supported.

You will be joining an outstanding team, providing support for young people who have faced barriers to education. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference and inspire a love for learning.
