Teaching Assistant – SEMH School – Dudley
Do you have experience supporting young people who have struggled to engage with education, or who have SEMH Needs? Are you looking for a long-term opportunity to make a lasting impact and help student understand the value of education. This excellent SEMH school require a Teaching Assistant or Behaviour Mentor who has previously worked with reluctant learners.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be joining an experienced and friendly team of teachers, teaching assistants and mentors who are determined to make a difference. The school has good facilities, and student have access to a range of resources. This role requires an individual who has worked with SEMH or challenging behaviours, ideally in a school setting.
Job Role:
- Supporting students in their learning.
- Managing behaviours, helping students stay on task.
- Delivering small group interventions for students.
- Taking part in whole school activities such as trips, enrichment days and more.
- Working with children with SEMH needs, understanding these needs and providing appropriate support ion lessons.
- Working with the class teacher to provide an outstanding education.
- Making learning fun and engaging for students!
- Building positive professional relationships with young people. Making them feel nurtured and supported.
