THE OPPORTUNITIY:

We are searching for an organised, diligent, collaborative, and positive candidate with a keen eye for detail to join our client's procurement team! Working closely with the Procurement manager you will support on the entire procurement process by ensuring product & logistical information is recorded accurately and updated regularly, build strong relationships with vendors & suppliers, and provide continuous support to your internal colleagues on their procurement related queries!

ROLES & RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Daily system updates & checks including: pricing & exchange rate updates, stock receipt, existing stock product lifecycle management, and part-code updates.
  • Ensure all orders are placed accurately with the best possible cost-price.
  • Monitor order status' from confirmation of order placement, tracking, and receipt of order, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are updated throughout.
  • Provide reports on stock levels, sales out, ETA's, backorders, and special pricing where required/requested.
  • Regular checks to ensure stock inventory is in line with the stock policy, adjusting where necessary, and updating / uploading stock into the internal systems accurately and promptly.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the return of goods to suppliers.
  • Escalate any issues, complaints, or decisions outside of your remit to the Procurement Manager for resolution.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A role or position where attention to detail, accuracy and working to deadlines were key skills needed, used and measured (further education or life, or employment experience).
  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or similar is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong organisational & time management skills with excellent attention to detail is essential.
  • A strong sense of initiative and a logical & systemic approach to managing and prioritising tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Team centric and positive attitude
  • Full, clean, UK drivers licence and access to own transport.
