Matchtech are looking for a Battery Test Engineer on a contract basis for an initial 12 month period based in Southampton.
You will have 12-24 months commercial or advanced academic experience in an engineering capacity related to battery design, development and/or testing.
Working in an established test environment, the role will primarily be lab based testing and evaluating new and emerging battery technologies and designs and providing the related data analysis and technical reporting.
Experience of using SEM, CT and X--ray diffraction tools is required as well as lithium ion or sodium ion battery testing. MatLAB and Python experience will also be beneficial but not essential
The role will be 5 days on-site initially moving to a hybrid arrangement as the contract progresses.
