Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages all warehouse inventory and maintains database on receipt of goods transfers from manufacturing facility.
  • Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouses including correct storage and segregation to maximise storage facility and efficient shipment of finished products.
  • Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse. Planning and organisation of over-all warehouse operations.
  • Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments.
  • Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
  • Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product.
  • Manual stock checks and date checks of warehouse inventory.
  • Directs forklift drivers to store goods in identified areas and load goods on vehicles to be transported.
  • Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed.
  • Operates forklift truck as needed.
  • Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bendi FLT licence
  • Must be computer literate and have good knowledge of Microsoft office tools. (Sage 200 experience preferable but not critical)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
  • Must have proactive nature, the ability to work efficiently and with initiative without supervision
  • Must have a clear understanding of Health & Safety
  • Able to plan and prioritise workload accordingly
