Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages all warehouse inventory and maintains database on receipt of goods transfers from manufacturing facility.
- Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouses including correct storage and segregation to maximise storage facility and efficient shipment of finished products.
- Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse. Planning and organisation of over-all warehouse operations.
- Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments.
- Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
- Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product.
- Manual stock checks and date checks of warehouse inventory.
- Directs forklift drivers to store goods in identified areas and load goods on vehicles to be transported.
- Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed.
- Operates forklift truck as needed.
- Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
- Performs other related duties as directed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bendi FLT licence
- Must be computer literate and have good knowledge of Microsoft office tools. (Sage 200 experience preferable but not critical)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
- Must have proactive nature, the ability to work efficiently and with initiative without supervision
- Must have a clear understanding of Health & Safety
- Able to plan and prioritise workload accordingly
