I am currently partnering with renowned buyside firm, who are seeking an analyst to join their small but dynamic treasury ops team.
Focusing mainly on BAU to begin with but with the view that it will grow into a more senior role in time, the firm are looking for 2-4 years of experience within broad financial services with the biggest tick boxes being curiosity, ambition and keenness to develop a skill set in this space.
Responsibilities
- Cash Management: Monitor and manage daily cash balances across multiple accounts and currencies, ensuring optimal liquidity and efficient use of funds.
- Funding & Liquidity: Coordinate and execute funding transactions, including FX spot and forward deals, to meet margin calls, investment requirements, and operational needs.
- Trade Settlement: Oversee and facilitate the accurate and timely settlement of trades across various asset classes, including equities, derivatives, fixed income, and FX.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of cash positions, margin accounts, and trade settlements, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Risk Management: Assist in the identification and management of liquidity and counterparty risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports on cash positions, funding activities, and liquidity forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance treasury operations processes and systems, seeking opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and streamline workflows.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, accounting, compliance, and external counterparties to ensure smooth and effective treasury operations.
