Vacancy - Buyer
ESS Employment are currently recruiting for a Buyer for well establish local client to support the Bespoke Purchasing Manager and Generic Purchasing Manager in the smooth running of the Purchasing Department. Working in all aspects of supply chain and procurement.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Create supply chain/inventory reports and interpret data.
- Managing inventory levels and stock management
- Placing of purchase orders with suppliers
- Working with supplier on forecasting, and communicating with all parties
- Management of supplier performance, ensuring compliance and performance standards are met.
- Negotiate with suppliers for best pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules.
- Researching new products and manufacturers
- Support the sales team with working on tenders and presenting to customers where required.
- Working with the team to achieve KPIs and targets in a number of areas including supply chain management.
- Understand and influence key financial purchasing issues.
- Understanding customs clearance/import procedures
- Support all aspects of a busy purchasing department.
- Co-ordinating any special orders and opening ordering requirements.
Key Experience and Skills:
- A working knowledge of Prof.ItPlus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
- Excellent Organisational skills
- Team Player
- Ability to prioritise a frequently changing workload.
- Highly organised and able to work well under pressure
- Good Attention to detail
- Ability to Communicate well
