Finance Assistant

We are delighted to be supporting a growing business based just west of Cambridge as they seek to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team. Within this role, you will report into the Finance Director. Due to the nature of the organisation and the duties of this position, this role will be based fully in the office.

As the incoming Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will be tasked with the following duties, including but not limited to:

  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Processing payment runs
  • Setting up supplier accounts
  • Posting credit notes
  • Additional ad hoc duties as required

As the successful applicant, you will have previous experience working in a similar accounts role, with good knowledge of Purchase Ledger and accounting principles. You will also have excellent communication skills, both on a written and verbal level, strong attention to detail, and be a good problem solver. Other desirable attributes would include previous experience with finance systems, the ability to work to deadlines and happy to take on duties outside of the scope of the role.
