A Paralegal is required for this leading, well established project management company based in Chorley.
You will be required to provide legal and commercial support with subcontract terms and preparing/checking contract documents.
You will:
- Provide legal advice with the support of and under the supervision of Legal Counsel during the tender and project delivery stages until conclusion of projects.
- Conduct contract reviews at enquiry stage,
- Highlight any concerns within the Terms and Conditions to the Bid Manager.
- Write Technical Queries for submission to the Client.
- Close out issues once responses received.
- Prepare, amend, and advise on contracts and subcontracts to meet business needs.
- Liaise with project teams, customers, and other stakeholders as required.
- Handle supplementary documentation such as parent company guarantees, non-disclosure agreements, third party rights and warranties.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of contracts and associated documents.
- Manage administrative aspects of projects in relation to legal documents.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including IT, HR, and finance where required.
- Work in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
This role is a fixed terms contract covering maternity leave but there is scope for a permanent role further down the line for the right person.
This is mainly a remote role but you will need to visit their office in Chorley 1 to 2 times a month.
This company works a 9 day fortnight - working 40 hours week 1 and 35 hours week 2 with every other Friday off.
The salary on offer for this position is £32-£35K
To be suitable for this role you will:
- Be a Law Graduate with experience as a paralegal working with complex commercial contracts
- Construction/Engineering/Nuclear experience preferred but not essential.
