Children's Home Deputy Manager

Location: Stratford, E7
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Type: Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Home Deputy Manager to join a well-established 4-bed home in E7. This home has a settled environment with young people who have been there for up to 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and compliant environment.
  • Lead and supervise the care team, promoting a culture of excellence, resilience, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans, promoting the health, education, and well-being of each child.
  • Ensure compliance with all Ofsted regulations and standards, preparing for and participating in inspections.
  • Work collaboratively with children, families, local authorities, and other stakeholders to meet the children's needs and ensure their voices are heard.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory obligations.
  • Promote safeguarding and child protection, ensuring a safe environment for all children.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior role within a children's residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection.
  • Effective leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and maintaining a motivated and high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and be willing to work towards a Level 5 qualification.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
