Head of Finance
A prestigious client in the banking sector is actively seeking a Head of Finance to spearhead their financial operations. Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Implement and execute the bank's financial strategy, aligning with corporate goals and providing key insights to support strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with the executive team to enhance business growth and profitability, managing the bank's capital and financial risk profile.
- Lead the development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term plans, conducting in-depth financial reviews and analyses.
- Ensure adherence to UK banking regulations, delivering precise financial reports to regulatory bodies.
- Manage daily financial operations, enforce robust internal controls, and oversee the bank's financial position.
- Work closely with the Risk department to identify and mitigate financial risks, upholding stringent risk governance frameworks.
- Communicate the bank's financial status and projections to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Cultivate a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of responsibility, innovation, and teamwork.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA) or equivalent.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10-15 years' experience in senior finance roles within the banking or financial services industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK financial regulations, IFRS, and other pertinent financial standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial strategy, planning, and analysis within a regulated framework.
- Proficient in financial modelling, analysis, and risk management.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, capable of influencing at the highest levels.
- In-depth understanding of capital markets, liquidity management, and financial instruments.
