Accounts Payable Specialist - Reading, Berkshire - £25,000 - £30,000 + benefits. - (Fully Remote)
FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with a growing Pharmaceutical business based in Reading, Berkshire. Due to a recent acquisition, we are on the search for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join the business on a permanent basis.
The duties of the Accounts Payable Specialist role include:
- Review, advise, collate, and process orders placed by staff to ensure timing deliver of consumables for the labs and proactively follow-up outstanding orders and resolve anomalies when required
- Ensure the purchasing ledger in Microsoft Dynamic Business Central is update and accurate daily
- Supplier statement reconciliations on key accounts
- Deal with account queries and liaise with the Finance Manager when necessary
- To maintain the approved suppliers list
- Assist in the development of internal control policies procedures
- To keep the Financial Controller, or in their absence the CEO, informed concerning the status of their work, including situations which may lead to potential delays
- To assist with the training of staff in their section when required
- To work in compliance with GLP, GMP and the policies and procedures of the Group
- To comply with written procedures and to comment on these as necessary
- To be the key contact for all purchasing related queries during the annual audit
- To undertake work as directed by their Managers, as far as reasonably practicable
- Help on ad hoc tasks across the wider finance team as much as practicable
The successful Accounts Payable Specialist will:
- Previous experience in a busy and fast-growing organisation
- Preferred experience in managing multi-site purchasing, including dealing with intercompany re-charges
- AAT trained preferred
- Strong people skills and the ability to business partner with the lab managers
- Stable career history
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong IT literacy and data skills
- Microsoft Dynamics experience - desirable
