As a Course Training Designer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll create all sorts of programmes to support Royal Mechanical Engineers as they go through their training.

Day-to-day, you'll deliver high quality training design and development output in line with Military Standards and Company Standards to support RSME Training delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the production of training design documentation and wider lines of development to support new and revised training requirements in accordance with Training Policy guidelines.
  • Work with the team and liaise with Military Engineer Requirement Setting Team (MERST) to assist in developing effective and efficient Training Requirement Authority outputs.
  • Attend Stakeholder Reviews to provide training design and training management subject matter expertise.
  • Own, develop and report against training design programmes.
  • Maintain knowledge of new developments in the fields of learning, learning design, internal validation and learning technology.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is on-site with some flexibility on hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Course Training Designer:

  • Knowledge of modern learning techniques, and principles
  • Previous experience of undertaking training design, preferably in a military environment
  • DCTS Training Design (successful completion)
  • DCTS Job Analysis (successful completion)
  • Ideally experienced in Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) or systems Approach to Training (SAT)
