Description
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies for products and services
- Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast demand and establish supply parameters
- Conduct supplier negotiations to secure advantageous terms
- Manage supplier relationships and evaluate their performance
- Implement risk management protocols for supply contracts and agreements
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with industry and company policies and procedures
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing procurement team
Profile
A successful Purchasing Manager should have:
- Proven experience in a procurement management role within the industrial / manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of supplier or third-party management software
- Outstanding negotiation and leadership skills
- Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset
- experience and knowledge of software licensing, including vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, AutoCAD, IBM, Oracle and others
