Day-to-day of the role of a Teaching Assistant:
- Assist teaching staff in preparing and delivering lesson materials and educational activities.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, enhancing their learning experience.
- Facilitate a positive and conducive learning environment for all students.
- Monitor and support the progress and attainment of the learners.
- Collaborate with teachers to assess the needs of students and implement support strategies.
- Contribute to the college's inclusive culture, ensuring all students have equal opportunities to succeed.
Required Skills & Qualifications needed for the Teaching Assistant role:
- Maths and English GCSE or Equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of students and young people.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
