Senior Regional Media & Communications Advisor

Salary: £39,390 per annum, pro rata (National Framework) or £44,792 per annum, pro rata (London Framework - if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25). There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £553 per annum for those working from home
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term or Secondment for 23 months
Location: Home-based or working from a CQC office two days per week

We're now looking for a Senior Regional Media & Communications Advisor to join us on a full-time basis for a 23 month fixed term contract.

What you will bring...

To be considered as our Senior Regional Media & Communications Advisor, you will need:

- Experience working within a communications or public relations field, including experience of media relations and/or journalism
- Experience using different media and IT packages
- Excellent copywriting and sub-editing skills

What you'll be doing...

As our Senior Regional Media & Communications Advisor, you will support the development and delivery of effective regional stakeholder engagement strategies.

Assisting the Regional Media and Communications Manager, you will help to promote improvement in health and social care services, ensuring stakeholders and the public are well-informed and engaged with our work and priorities.

You will build and maintain relationships with key regional stakeholders, local media and CQC inspection teams, working to enhance our regional media profile and reputation.

Additionally, you will support the development of engagement programmes that align with our corporate priorities. You will also contribute to data analysis and evaluation and ensure effective communication of inspection activity and findings to support informed decision-making about care.

Your role will also involve:

- Overseeing and supporting the Regional Media and Communications Officer, ensuring effective management and professional development
- Planning and co-ordinating internal and external engagement for significant reports
- Providing support and training on media handling
- Participating in internal working groups to represent regional media team needs
