Role Overview: We're recruiting for a hands-on Finance Controller to report to the CFO and engage with multiple stakeholders daily. You'll oversee the manufacturing side of the business (c£25m of the £85m turnover), manage a finance team of 4, and ensure robust and scalable finance systems and processes.
Company Overview: Roger Bullivant Ltd is a leading geotechnical specialist known for quality and innovation in foundation and underground engineering. With a turnover of £75m, it's a subsidiary of Soletanche Freyssinet, part of Vinci PLC, a global construction leader.
Responsibilities:
- Manage production and manufacturing accounts.
- Compile monthly management accounts.
- Create regular group reports, including cash reporting and quarterly consolidation.
- Collaborate with site teams to analyse monthly costs.
- Conduct job site visits for financial insights.
- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare year-end accounts and group consolidation per IFRS.
- Manage compliance activities, including audit, tax, and statutory returns.
- Offer technical accounting guidance on UK and international GAAP.
- Assist CFO in preparing financial plans and forecasts.
- Support CFO in ad hoc commercial projects.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) essential.
- Experience in manufacturing finance.
- Strong team management skills.
- Ability to meet strict PLC reporting deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Coins accounting package (ideal).
- Expertise in embedding robust accounting processes.
- Manufacturing or engineering sector experience.
