The Company

A Commercial Finance Analyst is sought by a leading business services group with an enviable portfolio of FTSE 100 and Blue Chip clients. This organisation offers a broad range of services across international offices in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Ambitious growth plans and continued profitable expansion within all markets and regions has created a new opportunity for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join the team. Providing support to the Partners and Functional Heads, you will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class service to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Analyst

  • Support for the financial management and oversight of all aspects of a prestigious client global retainer agreement
  • Take ownership to record and follow up on action points from dedicated client meetings with the Commercial Finance Manager and Senior Service Delivery Manager
  • Report on key budget areas, undertaking budget variance analysis, proactively identifying issues, reconciling work in progress (WIP) reports and other ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Support the relationship partners, Commercial Finance Manager, and Senior Service Delivery Manager with the annual global retainer negotiation with the client
  • Prepare executive communication for key budget holders, key stakeholders, and the client on high-profile budget areas
  • Perform detailed analysis on profitability by matter, practice group and region
  • Partner with the applications team to fix bugs or make improvements to the client portal

Skills & Attributes of the Commercial Finance Analyst

  • Experience of a legal or professional services firm is highly desirable
  • Exposure to Commercial Finance, Pricing or financial modelling from other service providers will also be considered
  • Qualified Accountant or finalist (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) would be preferred
  • Strong communication skills with confidence to interact with senior stakeholders is paramount
  • A proactive and self-motivated mentality is required to help this individual find new opportunities across the group
