This Winchester-based automotive company is going through a system change and creating a number of opportunities in the process, one of which is offering a temporary contract for a Purchase Ledger Clerk.
The main duties of the successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will be assisting the Accounts Payable team to ensure the smooth running of the department and process invoices and payments for suppliers.
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager you will be responsible for:
- Processing a high volume of invoices per month
- Matching, batching, and coding of invoices
- Processing credit notes
- Assist with supplier statement reconciliations
- Sending invoices for approval
- Supporting weekly payment runs
- Assisting with email queries
- Assisting with data migration to new system
What you will need:
- Commitment to a 6 month temporary contract
- Previous experience in a similar role such as: Bookkeeping / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Assistant / Accounts Payable
- Confidence with Excel spreadsheets
- Attention to detail
- Process driven mentality
- Ability to problem solve
- Willingness and ability to efficiently communicate with the exisiting purchase ledger team.
