Our client is an international media business based out of the UK and US. They are currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join their London team on a full time basis. Their office is in Camden and they offer hybrid working with 3 days in the office.
General Ledger (40%)
- Assist the Financial Controller in reviewing the General Ledger and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reconcile deferred payments at month-end.
- Reconcile credit card statement
- Ad hoc analysis and projects as required.
Accounts Payable (40%)
- Code & book AP invoices to the ledger
- Prepare & allocate UK BACS payment runs and prepare regular online payments to foreign consultants and royalty collections societies
- Apply AP payment allocations on a weekly basis to capture direct debit payments
- Complete financial review and prepare ACH payment of expenses
- Prepare monthly AP accruals for review by the Financial Controller
Cash (10%)
- Provide day-to-day maintenance and reconciliation of Bank Accounts.
- Prepare cashbook reconciliation.
- Reconcile Direct Debits at month-end.
Account receivable (10%)
- Assist the Credit controller on client account reconciliations
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in a finance department
- Strong experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and general ledger activities
