The Charity Retail Association's Outstanding Charity Retailer of the Year 2023! Is looking for a Store Manager for its Erdington based Superstore. Benefits include employee discounts from leading retailers, employee gym discount scheme and bike to work scheme.

You will working for a children's charity who offer specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families. They have a network of charity shops across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire, which help to provide the funds needed to provide this care. Every year, they support over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families, including those who are bereaved.

As Store Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing inspired leadership and motivation to a team of volunteers and deputy managers
  • Acting as an entrepreneur to maximise every sales opportunity available, reviewing sales reports and making decisions based on the data and trends these reports show
  • Creating an exciting shop floor experience that makes Acorns stand out from our competitors
  • Making decisions about the quality of stock, levels of pricing and style of merchandising
  • Managing collections and deliveries of furniture and large items

We are keen to speak to people about this Store Manager opportunity who have the following skills and experience:

  • Retail experience and experience of working towards targets
  • Experience of leading and motivating a team
  • IT skills
  • Happy to work weekends
  • Enjoy a role that involves significant levels of manual handling
  • Ability to coordinate a schedule of deliveries and collections

You'll work 37.5 hours per week, including some weekend working.

In return you will receive a salary of £28,375 per annum plus generous contribution to group personal pension plan and life assurance
