Reed Finance is working with a client based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit a Project Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the wider business, you will play a key role in the provision of effective project financial management support. You will provide high quality technical support through insightful analysis.
Our client is open to candidates who are qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience, as long as you possess relevant experience for the position. The ideal candidate will have a background in either a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or Project Accountant position.
The main responsibilities of the position are:
- Provide professional financial advice, guidance and challenge to Project Managers
- Provide timely management information for both strategic and operational purposes
- Work with the wider finance team to oversee non-strategic projects, ensuring early identification of any deviance from budget
- Work with the Head of Finance to develop the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of financial reports and management information
- Attend project boards as required
- Provide appropriate input to the monthly management accounts, commentaries and monthly financial performance indicators
To be considered for the role, you must possess the following:
- Qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience accountant
- Previous experience in either a Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or Project Accountant position
- Strong communication skills to deal with various stakeholders
