Are you looking for a role that will give you a pathway of progression, and a way to develop your career? This is an opportunity that will allow you to run the plant and step up to manage an additional 2 over the next few years. You'll have a boss who is approachable, open and honest: he will help to develop you to take over the reins when he retires.

As Plant Manager, you'll have a good team of operators around you, and it'll be down to you to be on the shop floor with them, showing them what good looks like and being a hands-on manager. There are 2 big projects on the horizon which you'll be leading: there is a new PLC system to be installed this year, and next year a new bulk material intake elevator.

If this sounds like the kind of role you can see yourself in, then click apply!

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing cost control, budgeting, and planning to optimise resources and achieve targets.
  • Leading the Operational Excellence program.
  • Enhancing production and admin processes through effective planning and using the Min/Max Planning tool for reliable material supply.
  • Leading continuous improvement efforts, ensuring team involvement in Kaizen events to drive performance improvements.
  • Providing technical support by troubleshooting equipment issues and helping with equipment failure analysis.

The Candidate

As the Plant Manager, you will be able to hit the ground running with previous experience in leading a team in a deadline-driven environment. You will also have the following:

  • Strong mechanical maintenance skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in using IT and tools to manage operations and solve problems.
  • Strong leadership skills: able to inspire and manage a team, spot skills gaps, and drive change and operations.
  • Willingness to travel to other sites for training and operational needs.
