My West Midlands based client is looking to recruit a Senior Buyer into their recently transformed procurement team. Reporting into the Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out compliant procurement exercises in order to obtain best value for money across a range of goods and services.
Duties will include:
- Leading procurement requirements for assigned projects
- negotiating complex, high value contracts
- Analysing procurement activity and identifying procurement opportunities
- Undertake quotation and tender exercises
- Undertake tenders inline with OJEU guidelines
- Manage contracts and supplier terms
- Liaise with and manage stakeholders across the organisation
You will need to be able to demonstrate some experience within a previous procurement role as well as ideally some public sector procurement experience.
This is a permanent role and requires a minimum of 3 days on site. The salary on offer is circa £28,000.
