  • Salary Range: Level 1 TA - £24,054 - £24,788 pro rata term time only (£27,030 - £27,855 FTE), Level 2 TA - £27,137 - £27,978 pro rata term time only (£30,495 - £31,440 FTE)
  • Location: Croydon or BR3
  • Job Type: Full-time, Fixed term until 31 August 2025

Reed Education are working with a large SEN trust of School who are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistants at both Level 1 and Level 2 to join their SEN provision in September. Their school caters to children with Autism and challenging behaviour across two sites, one for primary and the other for secondary aged students. This role is ideal for adaptable, flexible, and resourceful individuals who can thrive in a high-pressure environment.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Support the Class Teacher in delivering educational programs and activities for children with ASD, SEMH, and other learning needs.
  • Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work closely with pupils to motivate and encourage them towards high achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and engage in professional development activities.
  • Adapt to constantly changing priorities and manage a variety of tasks effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience as a teaching assistant, preferably within SEN settings.
  • Commitment to supporting pupils with social communication difficulties including ASD, SEMH, and other learning needs.
  • Excellent teamwork, classroom management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities.
  • Passion for working with children with complex needs.
