GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a renowned secondary school in Ashford. As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective geography lessons aligned with the national curriculum and cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students within a secondary setting. Your role will include planning and marking, ensuring that students receive high-quality education and achieve their full potential. The role requires you to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and develop their geographical knowledge and skills. The successfull Geography Teacher must be able to deploy a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technology tools to enhance student engagement and facilitate active participation in geography learning. You will have to collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that integrate geography learning with other subjects and real-world contexts.
Geography Teacher role Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Geography or a related discipline.
- Strong subject knowledge and expertise in teaching geography at the secondary level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A creative and innovative approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate students to explore the world of geography and develop their geographical abilities.
- Experience in planning and marking, ensuring that students receive constructive feedback to aid their learning.
